Configure APN settings to get mobile data working correctly
In most cases, your Figabytes eSIM configures network settings automatically. However, some devices — especially certain Android models — may require manual APN setup before mobile data starts working.
APN settings help your device connect to the correct mobile network for your eSIM plan.
This guide explains what APN settings are, where to find them, and how to configure APN settings on both iPhone and Android devices.
What is an APN?
APN stands for Access Point Name.
An APN controls how your device connects to the mobile internet network.
If the APN is missing or incorrect:
- Mobile data may not work
- Hotspot may fail
- Your device may show signal without internet access
In many cases, entering the correct APN manually resolves the issue immediately.
Where can I find my Figabytes APN?
Your APN details are usually available in:
- Your Figabytes order confirmation email
- Your Figabytes account dashboard
- The installation or activation page
The APN is typically a short text value provided specifically for your eSIM plan.
Always use the exact APN provided with your order.

Before making changes, confirm that:

What if I cannot see the APN menu?
Some devices hide APN settings when:
- Mobile data is disabled
- The eSIM line is turned off
- The device is carrier-locked
- Software restrictions apply
Try the following:
- Enable the Figabytes eSIM
- Turn on mobile data
- Restart the device
- Confirm the phone is unlocked
If the APN menu is still unavailable, additional support may be required.
What if mobile data still does not work?
If the issue continues:
- Double-check APN spelling
- Confirm Data Roaming is enabled
- Make sure Figabytes is selected for mobile data
- Restart the device
- Switch between LTE, 4G, and 5G if available
- Disable VPN or Private DNS
Some devices may also require manual network selection.
