
Installing a Figabytes eSIM on your iPhone or iPad is quick and fully digital. Depending on what you have available, you can install your eSIM using a QR code or by entering the details manually.
Before you begin, make sure your iOS device is eSIM-compatible, unlocked, and connected to a stable Wi-Fi network.
Before You Start
Please confirm the following:
- Your iPhone or iPad supports eSIM
- Your device is unlocked
- You are connected to reliable Wi-Fi
- Your device is updated to the latest iOS version
- You have your Figabytes eSIM details ready
Option 1: Install eSIM Using a QR Code (Recommended)
This is the easiest method if you have access to another screen to display the QR code.
Steps
- Open Settings
- Tap Mobile Data (or Cellular)
- Select Add eSIM or Add Cellular Plan
- Choose Scan QR Code
- Scan the Figabytes eSIM QR code
- Tap Add Cellular Plan or Continue
Your device will download and install the eSIM profile.
Option 2: Install eSIM Manually
If you can’t scan a QR code, you can install the eSIM manually using activation details.
Steps
- Open Settings
- Go to Mobile Data → Add eSIM
- Select Enter Details Manually
- Enter the SM-DP+ address and activation code provided by Figabytes
- Tap Next or Continue
Keep your device connected to Wi-Fi until installation completes.
After Installation: What to Do Next
Label Your eSIM
When prompted, name your eSIM for easy identification.
Recommended labels:
- “Figabytes Travel”
- “Figabytes Data”
Keep the eSIM Turned Off (If Installing Before Travel)
If you’re installing your eSIM before your trip:
- Leave the Figabytes eSIM turned off
- Turn it on only after you arrive at your destination
This helps ensure your plan activates at the correct time.
How to Activate the eSIM After Arrival
Once you arrive at your destination:
- Open Settings
- Go to Mobile Data
- Turn on your Figabytes eSIM
- Enable Data Roaming for that eSIM
- Set Figabytes as your mobile data line
Your device should connect to a local network within a few minutes.
If Installation Doesn’t Work
If you experience any issues:
- Double-check your eSIM details
- Ensure Wi-Fi is stable
- Restart your device and try again
If the issue continues, contact the Figabytes support team for assistance.
Important Information
- Each eSIM can be installed only once
- Do not delete the eSIM after installation unless instructed
- Deleting the eSIM may require a replacement
