If you’re unable to scan a QR code or prefer to enter the details yourself, you can install your Figabytes eSIM manually on your iPhone. This method uses the activation details provided after purchase and works on all eSIM-compatible iOS devices.
Before you begin, make sure your iPhone is unlocked, eSIM-compatible, and connected to a stable Wi-Fi network.
Before You Start
Please make sure you have:
- An eSIM-compatible iPhone
- A reliable Wi-Fi connection
- Your Figabytes eSIM activation details (SM-DP+ address and activation code)
- The latest iOS version installed
Step-by-Step: Manual eSIM Installation on iPhone
Step 1: Open Settings
Open Settings on your iPhone.
Step 2: Go to Mobile Data
Tap Mobile Data (or Cellular, depending on your iOS version).
Step 3: Add an eSIM
Tap Add eSIM or Add Cellular Plan.
Step 4: Choose Manual Entry
Select Enter Details Manually instead of scanning a QR code.
Step 5: Enter Activation Details
Carefully enter the information provided by Figabytes:
- SM-DP+ Address
- Activation Code
Make sure the details are entered exactly as shown.
Step 6: Confirm and Install
Tap Next or Continue to download the eSIM profile.
Keep your iPhone connected to Wi-Fi while installation completes.
Step 7: Label Your eSIM
When prompted, name your eSIM.
Recommended labels:
- “Figabytes Travel”
- “Figabytes Data”
This makes it easier to manage if you use multiple mobile plans.
Step 8: Keep the eSIM Turned Off Until Needed
If you’re installing the eSIM before traveling:
- Leave the Figabytes eSIM turned off
- Enable it only after you arrive at your destination
This helps ensure the plan activates at the correct time.
How to Activate the eSIM After Arrival
Once you arrive:
- Open Settings
- Go to Mobile Data
- Turn on your Figabytes eSIM
- Enable Data Roaming for that eSIM
- Set Figabytes as your mobile data line
Your iPhone should connect to a local network within a few minutes.
If Manual Installation Doesn’t Work
If you encounter issues:
- Double-check the activation details
- Confirm Wi-Fi is stable
- Restart your iPhone and try again

Important Information
- Manual activation details can be used only once
- Do not delete the eSIM after installation unless instructed
