If your Figabytes eSIM shows Activating for longer than expected, it doesn't always mean the installation has failed.
Travel eSIMs sometimes remain in an activating state until your device can connect to a supported network at your destination.
If you're already at your destination and the eSIM is still stuck on activating, follow the steps below.
Your device may display Activating while it tries to register the eSIM with an available mobile network.
This can happen because:
If you're still in your home country, your Figabytes eSIM may not be able to connect to a supported network yet.
In this case, the eSIM may remain on Activating until you arrive at your destination.
You don't need to repeatedly reinstall the eSIM.
Once you arrive, turn on your Figabytes eSIM, enable Data Roaming, and allow your device a few minutes to find a supported local network.
Check your device's SIM settings and confirm that your Figabytes eSIM appears as an installed mobile plan.
Go to:
Settings → Cellular / Mobile Data
Look for your Figabytes eSIM.
Go to:
Settings → Network & Internet / Connections → SIMs / SIM Manager
Look for your Figabytes eSIM.
If Figabytes appears in your SIM settings, do not scan the QR code again.
Installing an eSIM requires an internet connection.
If you're still completing the installation, connect your device to a stable Wi-Fi network.
Avoid switching Wi-Fi networks or turning off your device while the eSIM profile is being downloaded.
If you're already traveling, make sure your current country is included in your Figabytes plan.
This is especially important for:
If your current country isn't included, the eSIM may not be able to register with a supported network.
Once you've arrived at your destination, make sure the Figabytes line is enabled.
Go to:
Settings → Cellular / Mobile Data → Figabytes
Turn Turn On This Line ON.
Go to:
Settings → Network & Internet / Connections → SIMs / SIM Manager
Select Figabytes and turn the eSIM on.
Figabytes travel eSIMs generally connect through supported partner networks, so Data Roaming should be enabled for your Figabytes eSIM.
Go to:
Settings → Cellular / Mobile Data → Figabytes → Data Roaming
Turn Data Roaming ON.
Open your Figabytes eSIM settings and turn Data Roaming ON.
Make sure you're enabling roaming for your Figabytes eSIM rather than your primary home SIM.
If you have multiple SIMs installed, make sure your phone is using Figabytes for mobile data.
Go to:
Settings → Cellular / Mobile Data → Cellular Data / Mobile Data
Select Figabytes.
Go to:
Settings → Network & Internet / Connections → SIMs / SIM Manager → Mobile Data
Select Figabytes.
If your eSIM is installed but still showing Activating, refresh your network connection.
Your device should search for available networks again.
If the status doesn't change, restart your phone.
After restarting:
Your device should normally connect to a supported network automatically.
Go to:
Settings → Cellular / Mobile Data → Figabytes → Network Selection
Make sure Automatic is enabled.
Go to:
Settings → Mobile Networks → Network Operators
Enable Automatically Select Network.
Wait while your device searches for an available network.
If your eSIM still doesn't connect, try manually selecting a supported network.
Turn off Automatic Network Selection and wait for available networks to appear.
Choose a network supported by your Figabytes plan.
Not every network shown on your device will necessarily be supported by your eSIM.
If you're unsure which network to choose, check your Figabytes plan details or contact Figabytes Support.
Installation itself usually takes only a few minutes when your device has a stable internet connection.
However, network activation can depend on your location and the availability of a supported network.
If you installed your travel eSIM before departure, it may not fully connect until you reach a supported destination.
Not necessarily.
If the Figabytes eSIM appears in your device's SIM settings, the profile may already be installed successfully.
The device may simply be waiting to connect to a supported mobile network.
This is why you should not immediately delete or reinstall the eSIM when you see Activating.
Figabytes travel eSIM profiles are generally single-use.
If your eSIM already appears in your device settings, don't repeatedly scan the QR code or enter the activation details again.
The activation information may no longer work after the eSIM profile has been downloaded.
If your Figabytes eSIM is stuck on Activating, do not delete it as a troubleshooting step.
Deleting an installed single-use eSIM may prevent you from reinstalling it with the same activation details.
Contact Figabytes Support before deleting the profile.
If you're already at a supported destination and your Figabytes eSIM remains on Activating after completing the steps above, contact Figabytes Support.
