If you’re using a Figabytes eSIM on an iPhone or iPad in Turkey, activation works slightly differently compared to other countries due to local network requirements. Your eSIM may not activate automatically until you complete a simple manual step.
This guide explains exactly how to activate your Figabytes eSIM in Turkey.
Why Is Activation Different in Turkey?
In Turkey, some mobile networks require manual network selection for eSIMs to connect successfully. This is normal and does not indicate an issue with your device or eSIM.
Once the correct network is selected, your eSIM should activate and connect normally.
Before You Start
Please make sure:
Your iPhone or iPad supports eSIM
Your device is unlocked
Your Figabytes eSIM is already installed
You are physically in Turkey
Mobile data and data roaming are enabled for the eSIM
Step-by-Step: Activate Figabytes eSIM on iPhone or iPad in Turkey
Step 1: Open Settings
Go to Settings on your iPhone or iPad.
Step 2: Go to Mobile Data
Tap Mobile Data (or Cellular, depending on your iOS version).
Step 3: Select Your Figabytes eSIM
Tap the eSIM labeled Figabytes (or the name you assigned during installation).
Step 4: Enable Data Roaming
Make sure Data Roaming is turned ON.
Step 5: Turn Off Automatic Network Selection
Tap Network Selection, then turn Automatic OFF.
Your device will start searching for available networks.
Step 6: Manually Select a Network
From the list of available networks, select one of the supported local networks shown on your screen.
It may take a few moments for the connection to establish.
Step 7: Wait for Connection
Once connected, you should see signal bars and mobile data should begin working.
If data doesn’t connect immediately, wait 1–2 minutes or restart your device.
If the eSIM Still Doesn’t Activate
If your eSIM does not activate after following the steps above:
Try selecting a different available network
Restart your device
Double-check that mobile data is set to the Figabytes eSIM
If the issue continues, contact the Figabytes support team for assistance.
