How to Set Up Your APN for Figabytes eSIM (iPhone & Android Guide)

How to Set Up Your APN for Figabytes eSIM (iPhone & Android Guide)

Your Figabytes eSIM may require an APN (Access Point Name) to be added manually before mobile data begins working — especially on certain Android models.
The APN allows your device to connect to the correct mobile network for your Figabytes plan.

This guide shows you exactly how to find, enter, and save your APN settings on both iPhone and Android.

🔍 What Is an APN and Why Does It Matter?

An APN is the configuration your device uses to connect to the internet.
If the APN doesn’t load automatically during installation:

  • Mobile data may not start

  • Hotspot may fail

  • Your device may show “No Connection” even if the eSIM installed correctly

Adding it manually usually fixes the issue instantly.

📩 Where to Find Your Figabytes APN

You can find the APN for your plan in:

  • Your Figabytes order confirmation email

  • Your Figabytes dashboard / account

  • The eSIM installation page

It usually looks like a short text value — for example:
figabytes.net (example only)

Use the exact APN provided with your plan.

📱 How to Set Up APN on iPhone

Step 1 — Open Mobile Data Settings

  1. Go to Settings

  2. Tap Mobile Data

  3. Tap Mobile Data Network

Step 2 — Enter the APN

Under Mobile Data, type the APN from your Figabytes order.

Example:
APN: your-apn-here

Scroll down and copy the same APN into the Personal Hotspot APN field.

Step 3 — Restart Your iPhone

Restart → toggle Airplane Mode ON/OFF → try connecting again.

🤖 How to Set Up APN on Android

🎯 APN Tips for Faster Setup

  • Use Wi-Fi while editing APN settings

  • Remove old or unused APNs if they cause conflicts

  • Restart your phone after saving the APN

  • Disable VPN, Private DNS, or firewall apps

  • Make sure Figabytes is set as the mobile data line

If You Don’t See the APN Menu

Some phones hide the APN option when:

  • Mobile data is OFF

  • The eSIM line is disabled

  • ROM/region restrictions exist

  • The device is carrier-locked

To fix it:

  • Enable mobile data on the Figabytes SIM

  • Enable the Figabytes line

  • Insert a physical SIM temporarily (unlocks APN menu on some Android devices)

  • Check if your device is unlocked

If APN still cannot be edited, contact Figabytes Support.

🧪 If Mobile Data Still Doesn’t Work

Double-check:

  • Correct APN spelling

  • Data Roaming is ON

  • Figabytes is set as Mobile Data SIM

  • Restart device

  • Try switching between 5G/4G/LTE

  • Disable VPN or Private DNS

If problems continue, send us:

  • Your device model

  • Android/iOS version

  • Screenshot of APN settings

  • Screenshot of SIM/Mobile Data page

  • Your order ID

We’ll resolve it quickly.

Setting up your APN is easy:

  • iPhone → Settings → Mobile Data → Mobile Data Network → Enter APN
