Installing your Figabytes eSIM on a Samsung Galaxy device using a QR code is the quickest and easiest method. This option is ideal if you have another screen available to display the QR code, such as a laptop, tablet, or another phone.
Before starting, please make sure your Samsung Galaxy device is eSIM-compatible, unlocked, and connected to a reliable Wi-Fi network.
Before You Start
You will need:
A Samsung Galaxy device that supports eSIM
A stable Wi-Fi connection
Your Figabytes eSIM QR code (provided after purchase)
Your device updated to the latest software version
Step-by-Step: Install eSIM via QR Code on Samsung Galaxy
On your Samsung Galaxy device, open Settings.
Tap Connections, then select SIM manager.
Tap Add eSIM, then choose Scan QR code.
Your device camera will open automatically.
Scan the Figabytes eSIM QR code using your phone’s camera.
Make sure:
The QR code is clear and well-lit
Your Wi-Fi connection is stable
You scan the QR code only once
When prompted, tap Add or Install.
Your device will begin downloading the eSIM profile. This process may take a few moments.
After installation, you’ll be asked to label the eSIM.
Suggested labels:
“Figabytes Travel”
“Figabytes Data”
This helps you easily identify the eSIM if you have more than one SIM profile.
If you’re installing the eSIM before your trip:
Leave the Figabytes eSIM turned off
Enable it only after you arrive at your destination
This helps ensure your plan activates at the correct time.
How to Activate Your eSIM After Arrival
Once you reach your destination:
Open Settings
Go to Connections → SIM manager
Turn on your Figabytes eSIM
Enable Mobile data and Data roaming for that eSIM
Your device should connect to a local network within a few minutes.
If You Can’t Scan the QR Code
If scanning the QR code doesn’t work:
Check your Wi-Fi connection
Clean your camera lens
Increase brightness on the screen displaying the QR code
If the issue continues, you can install the eSIM manually using the activation details provided with your purchase.
