If your Figabytes eSIM is installed on your Android device but you still can’t connect to mobile data, don’t worry — this is one of the most common issues across Samsung, Google Pixel, Xiaomi, Oppo, and other Android models.
The good news?
Most connection problems can be fixed in a few quick steps.
Below is the complete troubleshooting guide for Android users.
🔍 Why Your Figabytes eSIM May Not Be Connecting
Common causes include:
Figabytes is not set as the mobile data SIM
Data Roaming is OFF
APN not added or incorrect
VPN or firewall blocking the network
Weak signal in your location
eSIM installed but not activated yet
You’re not in a country included in your plan
Android radio glitch after installation
Let’s fix it step-by-step.
✅ Fix 1 — Set Figabytes as Your Main Data SIM
This is the #1 cause of no-connection issues.
Go to Settings
Tap Network & Internet or Connections
Select SIMs
Set Mobile Data → Figabytes
If another SIM is selected, your phone won’t use Figabytes for data.
✅ Fix 2 — Turn ON Data Roaming
Travel eSIMs require roaming; otherwise, data will not work.
Settings → SIMs
Select Figabytes
Turn Data Roaming ON
This alone fixes most connection issues.
✅ Fix 3 — Turn the eSIM Line OFF → ON
This forces your device to reconnect to the roaming network.
Settings → SIMs
Tap Figabytes
Disable → wait 5 seconds → Enable
Try browsing again
✅ Fix 4 — Add the APN Manually
Some Android phones do not auto-load APN settings.
Use the APN provided in your Figabytes order email.
Go to Settings → Mobile Networks
Tap Access Point Names (APN)
Add a new APN
Enter the Figabytes APN exactly
Save → Restart phone
Toggle Airplane Mode ON → OFF
If APN is wrong or missing, mobile data will not activate.
✅ Fix 5 — Turn Off VPN, Private DNS, or Security Apps
These services can block roaming traffic.
Turn OFF:
VPN
Private DNS
Firewall apps
Ad-blockers using network filtering
Then test again.
✅ Fix 6 — Restart Your Phone
Simple, but effective — especially after installation.
Hold power → Restart
Turn Airplane Mode ON
Wait 10 seconds
Turn Airplane Mode OFF
Try loading a webpage.
✅ Fix 7 — Check Your Signal Strength
If you have 0–1 bars, the device might be struggling to register.
Try:
Moving near a window
Switching between 5G / 4G / LTE
Toggling Airplane Mode
In many regions, 4G is more stable for data roaming.
✅ Fix 8 — Check If You Are in a Supported Location
Your Figabytes eSIM will only connect when you are in a country included in your plan.
Examples:
A Europe plan will not connect in UAE
A USA plan will not activate in Turkey
You can install early, but connection begins only at destination.
🔄 Fix 9 — Reset Network Settings (Last Resort)
This clears corrupted settings.
Settings → System
Tap Reset Options
Choose Reset Wi-Fi, Mobile & Bluetooth
(This will erase saved Wi-Fi networks.)
Reconnect and test again.
🛑 Fix 10 — Check If the Phone Is Carrier Locked
Locked Android phones cannot use travel eSIMs.
Test with another SIM card:
If it works → unlocked
If you see “Network Locked” → locked
You’ll need to request an unlock from your carrier.
❤️🩹 Fix 11 — eSIM May Be Corrupted
If:
Installation was interrupted
You deleted the eSIM
The eSIM was previously used or activated
…it may no longer function.
➡️ Contact Figabytes Support for a replacement eSIM.
🧭 Quick Checklist (Android)
Make sure:
Data SIM → Figabytes
Data Roaming ON
APN added
VPN OFF
Phone unlocked
You’re in a supported country
Airplane Mode toggled
Phone restarted
If these are correct, your Figabytes eSIM should connect within seconds.
